Scholarships, Bursaries & Awards
We encourage Saddle Lake Post Secondary students to research the many scholarships that are available to you. Please verify deadlines and review application criteria for any incentives, don’t take a chance and miss out.
Scholarships are cash awards that are given to selected students primarily based on their academic performance in a specific area. Scholarships are provided by government, educational institutions or by private organizations.
A Bursary is a non-repayable grant that are given out by universities, colleges and other organizations to students who demonstrate a financial need.
Awards are given to students based on performance and highlight a students excellence in that field.

Many of these scholarships and bursaries are awarded based on your involvement in the community, your athletic involvement, your leadership skills or your community services in many areas.

RBC Future Launch Scholarship
for Indigenous Youth
The RBC Future Launch Scholarships for Indigenous Youth awards 20 scholarships annually worth up to $10,000 (for up to four years) to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students across Canada.

Manulife Life Lessons Scholarship Program for post-secondary students
Manulife has introduced the first Life Lessons Scholarship Program in Canada, for students who’ve experienced the death of a parent or guardian with little to no life insurance. The Scholarship Program helps combat the financial burden of paying for post-secondary education during an emotional time and recognizes the perseverance that so many youth show in such adversity.

The Shannon Bryan Memorial Scholarship
The Shannon Dawn Bryan Memorial Scholarship of $500 is open for applications until
May 30th, 2024.
Successful applicant will be contacted by June 30th, 2024.

Indigenous Careers Award
To encourage Indigenous peoples living in Alberta (First Nations, Métis and Inuit) to pursue and complete post-secondary studies in certificate, diploma, applied degree and bachelor’s degree programs.

We are committed to amplifying Indigenous voices, and we want to give back. In recognition of this day, we are offering scholarships to attend one of our Indigenous Affairs events for students studying law, economic development, business or environmental affairs.
